OLD MILL SUBWAY

Stop Spotlight: Old Mill Station – Where Nature Meets Mystery

Tucked along the Bloor-Danforth line of the TTC, Old Mill Station is one of Toronto’s hidden transit gems. Serving just around 5,700 riders a day, it may not be the busiest stop—but it’s certainly one of the most beautiful.

Situated in the heart of the Humber Valley, this partially underground, partially elevated station surprises you with its stunning open-window views. Come spring and summer, the surrounding trees explode into vibrant greens, offering a forested escape that feels miles away from the downtown rush.

Just steps from the station is the Old Mill Inn & Spa, a picture-perfect venue for weddings, afternoon tea, or a romantic evening out. With its historic charm, on-site chapel, and elegant gardens, it’s a fairytale setting—whether you're saying “I do” or just stopping by for a cocktail.

But not all is as tranquil as it seems.

Whispers from the Tracks…
Over the years, TTC workers and late-night passengers have reported unexplained sightings in the tunnels—figures of a woman and child near the tracks, vanishing into thin air. Real or imagined? You’ll have to visit and decide for yourself.
